Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri has enjoyed some incredible playoff moments in his career, but Saturday’s outing against the Kansas City Chiefs will go down as his worst following another brutal miss.

After he bounced a field goal off the upright before halftime, Vinatieri had a chance for redemption on an extra-point attempt to cut the game to a 10-point deficit. Instead, the future Hall of Famer shanked it.

Missing from 50-plus yards is one thing, but we’ve now witnessed Vinatieri miss two of the easiest kicks in his career. In a game where the Colts trail by 11 with less than four minutes remaining, Vinatieri’s missed kicks could prove fatal.

On a related note, it might really be time to shave off the Santa Claus beard.
