The early portion of the New York Yankees schedule has been altered a great deal due to the COVID-19 outbreak surrounding the Miami Marlins. That included a four-game set against the Philadelphia Phillies this week being postponed.

New York then had to head to Baltimore Wednesday evening on short notice to take on the Orioles.

Struggling through a 2-for-12 start to the season, MVP candidate Aaron Judge finally broke out of his funk early in said game. That included a solo blast off Asher Wojciechowski to give New York a 3-1 lead in the top of the third.

The homer itself might not have been one of Judge’s patented bombs, but it is pretty significant.

The AL MVP runner-up back in 2017, Judge missed 60 games to injury last season. With former NL MVP Giancarlo Stanton getting off to a hot start for the Pinstripes this season, Judge coming alive would be a pretty big deal.
