Sports teams and players are getting into public awareness with the COVID-19 pandemic spreading throughout the United States. The common theme? Wear a mask. Your actions save lives.

The San Francisco 49ers decided to take that to an entirely new level Thursday, absolutely trolling the New Orleans Saints in the process. It was complete savagery.

San Francisco didn’t have to do New Orleans that dirty to make a point. But I am all for this troll job.

The play in question occurred back on Dec. 8 of 2019 during one of the best games on the 2019 NFL schedule. Battling for home-field advantage in the NFC Playoffs, the 49ers pulled off a dramatic 48-46 win in New Orleans.

Star tight end George Kittle capped off the win with one of the best plays of the season, setting up a Robbie Gould field goal as time expired.

The 49ers are right about one thing. Wearing a mask makes you a saint.
