Peters singled to lead off the second inning before scoring on a one-out double by Jose Trevino. Solak followed with an RBI single to make it 4-2.

Hentges nearly escaped the third inning after Texas put runners on second and third with no outs, but Ramirez made a two-out error at third, enabling both runners to score and tie the game 4-4.

Straw homered to lead off the first inning, and Reyes added an RBI double before Zimmer clubbed a long two-run homer into the second deck in right for a 4-0 lead.
