Antonio Gandy-Golden has fully recovered after testing positive for COVID-19

JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports Gandy-Golden tested positive and self-quarantined.

The good news is he is doing well now and has fully recovered. Furthermore, “all indications are that Gandy-Golden’s bout with the Coronavirus won’t impact his ability to compete for playing time this fall,” per Finlay.

Gandy-Golden issued a statement and said he was fully cleared back on April 7.

Selected in the fourth round out of Liberty, the rookie has potential to thrive as a pro. As a senior last season, he hauled in 79 passes for 1,396 yards, and he’s caught 10 touchdowns the past two seasons at Liberty.

The Washington franchise is still waiting to hear more good news about team legend Dexter Manley. He was recently hospitalized after testing positive for COVID-19, but reports indicate he is recovering.
