Having missed substantial action with a sprained MCL, there’s no official word yet on whether Curry will play Game 2 on Tuesday evening, but Warriors head coach Steve Kerr did say he “fully expects” that to be the case.
After disposing of San Antonio in five games, Golden State is now set to take on a Pelicans squad that swept through Portland in the first round of the playoffs.
Having Curry back on the court would have been a big boon for the Warriors in Game 1. The 30-year-old guard averaged 26.4 points on 50 percent shooting in 51 regular season games.
