As has been widely speculated over the past week, Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson will return from his eight-game absence Saturday against the Sacramento Kings.

Thompson had been sidelined to a fractured right thumb over those past eight games. During that span, his Warriors posted a 2-6 record. This comes after Kevin Durant returned one game earlier and with Stephen Curry sidelined through at least the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
At 54-21 on the season, Golden State will ultimately start the playoffs as the No. 2 seed out west. Having both Durant and Thompson back will be big for their hopes of repeating as champs.
Thompson, 28, is averaging 19.7 points on 49 percent shooting, including a 44 percent mark from distance.
