Vegas Golden Knights’ William Karlsson (lower body) out 4-6 weeks

Vegas Golden Knights forward William Karlsson is expected to be sidelined four-to-six weeks with a lower-body injury, coach Pete DeBoer said Tuesday.

Karlsson sustained a reported broken foot after being struck by a shot during the Golden Knights’ 5-4 shootout victory against the Anaheim Ducks on Friday.

The 28-year-old Swede has recorded three points (one goal, two assists) in eight games this season. He has 272 points (115 goals, 157 assists) in 474 career NHL games with the Ducks, Columbus Blue Jackets and Golden Knights.

The Golden Knights also are dealing with injuries to forwards Mark Stone (lower body), Max Pacioretty (lower body), Alex Tuch (shoulder), Nolan Patrick (upper body) and Mattias Janmark (upper body) as well as defenseman Zach Whitecloud (upper body).
