Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana is always around to lend his name and entrepreneurship to the newest ventures following his retirement from the game in 1994.

Montana is apparently prepared to lend his name to an unlicensed video game on the Unreal Engine 4 platform.

Considering the game is currently unlicensed, it can’t use the names of current players. However, that doesn’t stop Montana’s name from appearing in the game. Technically, he could add other retired players as well.

The former San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs signal caller has been hinting at the game’s production for some time now. However, Montana’s tweet from earlier this week appears to be putting the game on the fast track.

The fact that the game is unlicensed also indicates that it could become a cross-platform entity, appearing on operating systems throughout the gaming world, including PlayStation and Xbox.
