UFC fighter Valentina Shevchenko and her trainer Pavel Fedotov were caught in the middle of a robbery shootout in Peru, according to the Peruvian publication El Comercio. Fedotov was taken to the emergency room after being shot in the crossfire, while Shevchenko got out of the perilous situation without any injury.

The shootout occurred at a restaurant that specializes in preparing chicken. The robbers pilfered not only the cash registers but also took wallets, cellphones and anything else they could from the unsuspecting diners.

Fedotov pulled out a gun and shot one of the robbers dead, per the report, and others in the restaurant also pulled weapons and shot at them as well.

Shevchenko was seen helping the wounded, which we presume included her trainer. The owner of the restaurant said this is the sixth time his establishment has been hit in this manner.

Thankfully none of the diners were mortally wounded.

Shevchenko (11-2) is set to fight Holly Holm on July 23 in Chicago.
