Two different generations. Two fighters looking to make their names known even more moving forward. A bout that headlined Saturday night’s UFC action at the Apex in Las Vegas.

The bantamweight bout between the legendary Frankie Edgar and Pedro Munhoz did not disappoint. It went the full five rounds with Edgar coming out on top via split decision in his debut in this division.

As you can see after the fight, both were pretty beat up.

For good reason. The two landed a combined 162 significant strikes throughout the bout.

For the 38-year-old Edgar, this win represented a return to prominence after falling to Max Holloway and Chan Sung Jung in his previous two fights. Munhoz is also now on a losing streak after he was defeated by Aljamain Sterling in UFC 238 last June.

Needless to say, the UFC world had its reactions to Edgar’s upset win.
