In preparation for UFC 251 next month, multiple fighters who might take part in that event were in Las Vegas Saturday night for UFC Fight Night on ESPN.
With a smaller Octagon, it became clear that these fighters had to come out punching and kicking. That’s exactly what Kazakhstan native Mariya Agapova did in her flyweight bout against the better known Hannah Cifers.
Check out the 23-year-old Agapova submit Cifers in Round 1 after landing several violent blows.
Each of Agapova’s past four fights have ended with her winning in the first round (two submissions, two knockouts). She now moves to 9-1 in her professional career.
Could a date center stage next month be in the cards for her? Seems likely at this point.
