The UConn women’s basketball team dropped to No. 7 in the latest poll released Monday, marking their lowest ranking in 14 years.

The Huskies dropped four spots after losing to Georgia Tech last week, a loss that snapped their 240-game winning streak over unranked teams. The loss to Georgia Tech was just the Huskies’ second to an unranked opponent in the past 29 years.

The Huskies were last ranked No. 7 on Jan. 22, 2007.

The Huskies are dealing with the loss of sophomore star Paige Bueckers. The reigning consensus national player of the year, who averages 21.2 points and 6.2 assists per game, suffered a tibial plateau fracture in her left knee and is expected to be out for six to eight weeks.
