As America celebrated its birthday on Wednesday, two Texas Longhorn football players luckily escaped a horrific looking car accident that left the vehicle mangled in more ways than one.
Texas defensive back Kris Boyd took to Twitter to show the aftermath of the accident that he and fellow Longhorn B.J. Foster were involved in.
Our angels had they hands over us today @nofear_2 Got rear ended and smashed! We’re doing a lot better. Thank you to those who reached out. Could’ve been gone but we here.🤞🏾🙏🏾 pic.twitter.com/2TuHaMyZLS

“Our angels had they hands over us today,” Boyd wrote. Well, that’s an understatement right there.
Boyd, an incoming senior, recorded 54 tackles and two interceptions last season, earning second-team All-Big 12 honors. He’s considered a top-level NFL Draft prospect. Meanwhile, Foster was a five-star recruit from the 2018 class and hopes to see time as a true freshman this coming season.
