Two high-profile Redskins assistants said to be on the way out

The Washington Redskins just can’t have good things. Primarily due to the lackluster performance of owner Daniel Snyder and team president Bruce Allen, things are not going swimmingly for the long downtrodden organization.

That now includes two high-profile assistants and former head coaches looking to bolt the Redskins out of frustration.

Defensive line coach Jim Tomsula and offensive line coach Bill Callahan are said to be done with the organization.

One of the most-respected position coaches in the NFL, Tomsula has been with the Skins since the start of the 2017 season. The former San Francisco 49ers head coach had overseen a talented young line that includes first-round picks Da’Ron Payne and Jonathan Allen.

Meanwhile, Callahan has been with the team since 2015. He was previously the head coach of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders and the Nebraska Cornhuskers at the college ranks.
