Thanks to Brian Dozier and Eddie Rosario, the Minnesota Twins are off to a dream start against the New York Yankees in the American League Wild Card Game.
Second baseman Brian Dozier got the ball rolling early when he took a Luis Severino fastball out to left field for a 1-0 lead.

After retiring Joe Mauer, Severno walked Jorge Polanco. Eddie Rosario stepped to the plate and padded to the lead with a line drive out to right.
Given that the Twins were heavy underdogs who chased Severino after one-third of an inning and took a big lead before the Yankees could even bat, Twitter had some reactions.

I'm about as shook as Severino. The Twins boys and girls, knocked out the Yankees starter in the first inning with one out.

Well, the Yankees can take some comfort in the idea that things can’t get much worse from here. For their sake, we certainly hope not.
