Twitter reacts to Sixers’ horrific Game 3 meltdown

With Game 3 between the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics tied and less than 20 seconds left, Sixers guard J.J. Redick committed what could have been a season-ending turnover, ultimately leading to a go-ahead bucket for the Celtics.

Those on hand at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia were left speechless by the turn of events. But mere seconds later, teammate Marco Belinelli made up for it by hitting a game-tying long two-pointer to force overtime.

Fans in Philly replaced those frowns with pure joy as they thought Belinelli’s shot was actually a game-winning three. The confetti man on hand agreed. It led to an absolutely surreal scene.

Ultimately, Philadelphia blew a chance to pull the series to within 2-1 with a disastrous late-game sequence in overtime. When all was said and done, Boston came out on top by the score of 101-98 to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.

Needless to say, those on Twitter had some absolutely awesome reactions to the stunning events that transpired at the Wells Fargo Center Saturday evening. Here are the best.
