Trent Williams has been on the trade block and wants out of Washington, but there have been some interesting reports recently indicating he turned some trades down.

The Washington Redskins were reportedly engaged with the Minnesota Vikings Friday about potentially landing the seven-time Pro Bowl left tackle. Then Ian Rapoport of NFL Media says things fell apart because Williams allegedly said he didn’t want to play for Minnesota.

Now his agent, Vincent Taylor, is coming out with a rather pointed accusation, calling out “false reporting” over these rumors.

It’s hard to say where the “false reporting” may have originated from. It’s lying season in the NFL right now as teams maneuver to get what they want at the best possible price.

What we do know is that the Vikings were reportedly in on Williams but ultimately opted to draft Ezra Cleveland instead on Friday. We also know that Williams’ options are dwindling fast, and that Washington is quickly losing any hope of landing a valuable draft pick in a potential trade.
