Trae Young joins LeBron, KD making NBA history with 10th 40-point game before age 22

Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young scored 48 points in an overtime win against the New York Knicks, and he made some NBA history as well.

Per ESPN’s SportsCenter, it was Young’s 10th game scoring 40-plus points before turning 22. It puts him in rare company as LeBron James and Kevin Durant are the only other two players in league history to accomplish the feat.

LeBron and KD are two of the best players the game has ever seen, so Young finds himself among the elites, which bodes incredibly well for the rest of his career.

After a shining rookie season that garnered him NBA All-Rookie First Team honors, Young has taken his game to new heights in Year 2, averaging 29.3 points, 9.0 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game.
