Trae Young hits absurd, circus shot over the backboard

Trae Young

Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young has become one of the NBA’s most exciting players thanks to his insane scoring ability. As Young demonstrated once again on Saturday night, sometimes not even the backboard can stop him.

Just minutes into the game against the Dallas Mavericks, the second-year guard did the unthinkable. When the defender used his size to force him out of bounds, Young flung up a shot from behind the backboard and watched it drop in for the bucket.

It’s one thing to avoid the contact and even keep the play alive by not stepping out of bounds. Somehow, Young put the perfect arc and touch on the shot that it sailed over the corner of the backboard and dropped right into the hoop.

It always seems to be something new with Young. Whether he dominates an entire quarter or drills a half-court shot to honor Kobe Bryant, Young is just a treat to watch. We can’t wait to see what he does next on the court.
