Despite Deflategate hovering over the 2015 NFL season for Tom Brady and the Patriots, the veteran quarterback ended last year’s campaign as the top-selling player in the league in terms of official merchandise.

It’s not surprising that Brady ends up as the top seller this past year.
Given the way the NFL has sort of taken on the role of villain of late, people likely wanted to support Brady in his fight against the ridiculous four-game ban proposed by the league for his alleged role in deflating footballs.
Of course, even when Brady’s not going up against the NFL in a court of law, he’s still one of the most popular and polarizing figures in the sport.
Another not-so-surprising takeaway is the fact that the top four sellers were all quarterbacks and that the top eight were all offensive players.
J.J. Watt finally broke the trend at No. 9, but out of the top 50 only 10 were defenders.
