Tom Brady Shows Up on Patriots’ Injury Report

When New England quarterback Tom Brady misses practice, his absence causes some red flags. Now it is being reported that Brady is showing up on the team’s injury report for a calf issue.

What is not determined at this point is whether the injury should be cause for concern or if the Patriots are just playing it safe prior to the season opener on Sunday. Other than the 2008 season when Brady suffered an ACL tear in week 1, he hasn’t missed a start since taking over for Drew Bledsoe way back in 2001.

Brady did practice in full on Wednesday. So if there is more to the story, we hope more news is shared soon. For some reason if Brady has to sit out against Miami, rookie quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo would be the starter. Let’s hope that isn’t what happens, especially for those who are planning on starting Brady in their Week 1 fantasy football lineups.
