Kansas City Chiefs star receiver Tyreek Hill recently made headlines with a bold prediction about the franchise’s goals to become an NFL dynasty. Tom Brady has some thoughts about all that.
Tyreek Hill: Chiefs ‘chasing Jordan’ and could win seven rings
Appearing on ESPN’s “First Take,” Hill was discussing his teammate, Chris Jones, who promised the Chiefs will win five rings. Then, he took it a step further.
“Well, I’m not gonna say he’s telling a fib,” Hill said. “But Chris Jones, he’s definitely — he’s definitely a man of his word, and we’re definitely creating something special here in KC, so I don’t see why not. Why say five? Why not go seven rings? Right now we’re just chasing [Michael] Jordan, so that’s what we do. So I’m going over five, and I’m saying seven.”
Certainly, the Chiefs have enough talent on both sides of the ball to win a bunch of titles. However, it wasn’t lost on many that there’s an NFL star who, like Michael Jordan, has six rings.
Tom Brady responds to Tyreek Hill
That person, of course, is Tom Brady, who won six Super Bowls (appearing in nine) during his two decades with the New England Patriots.
Not surprisingly, the NFL’s GOAT had to chime in on Twitter. And his response was legendary.
Wouldn’t it be something if Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ended up playing against Hill and the Chiefs next February in Tampa? One can dream.
