Tim Tebow shares message with fans after hand surgery

Tim Tebow’s season ended unexpectedly this weekend when he suffered a broken hamate bone, but the 30-year-old now is ready to begin the comeback.

On Wednesday, Tebow released a video thanking everyone for their thoughts and prayers. He also provided an update on his hand and said the surgery went well, which will allow him to start the rehab process.

After a rough start to the season, he was doing extremely well in Double-A Binghamton. Tebow slashed .317/.348/.429 since the start of June and raised his batting average on the year to .273 with a .374 OPS.

While his 2018 season is over and any chance at an MLB debut this year with the Mets is out of the question, Tebow took an important step this season. He proved he is capable MLB player and one that could earn a promotion to the majors next season.
