Three Colorado State players suspended for first half of New Mexico Bowl

Colorado State will play the first half of Saturday’s New Mexico Bowl without three players — Robert Awunganyi, Rashaad Boddie and Marvin Kinsey. All three players were suspended for the first half of the bowl game for violating team rules, per Kyle Fredrickson of The Denver Post.

Awunganyi is a sophomore cornerback who hasn’t played much this year for the Rams. Boddie, a freshman, and Kinsey, a sophomore, are running backs who have both been minor contributors to the offense, combining for 378 yards and six touchdowns on the season.

Colorado State (7-5) is taking on Marshall (7-5) at 4:30 p.m. ET in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl, a nationally televised game on ESPN.
