Texas is the Only State Supporting Johnny Manziel as Browns’ Starter

There is something off about the state of Texas. While not necessarily bad (depending on who you ask), it seems a bit different compared to the other 49 states in these United States of America. Not afraid to go against the grain, Texas has once again differentiated itself from the masses.

Obviously this has as much to do with Johnny Manziel being a native son as it has to do with him actually being qualified to be a starting quarterback in the NFL. Regardless, this ESPN map is a prime example of what those around the United States think about the rookie quarterback. Of 50 states, only one believes he should be the Browns starter.

For what it’s worth, the state of Ohio (seemingly split) is siding with Brian Hoyer. At least according to a map that surveyed 45,300 total people, which is about half of the amount of people that attended each Manziel-led Texas A&M game at College Station last year.

Now don’t worry too much here, I am pretty sure that Browns head coach Mike Pettine won’t take this map to mean that he should immediately name Manziel the starting quarterback for Week 1.

In any event, they do plan on starting him against the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football next week, which should make for a ratings bonanza for ESPN.
