It appears Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield isn’t the only iconic quarterback to take a shot at Texas Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger.
Speaking at Louisiana Tech on Thursday, Bradshaw told the crowd that Ehlinger “isn’t that good” and the former star recruit can’t even throw the football very well.
Ehlinger’s Longhorns are set to open the season against Bradshaw’s alma mater on Aug. 31. The Hall of Fame quarterback clearly isn’t a fan of five-star prospects and feels Louisiana Tech has better quarterbacks than Ehlinger.
That’s a little difficult to imagine given Ehlinger posted a 25-5 TD-INT ratio with a 146.8 quarterback rating in his first full season as a starter. Meanwhile, Louisiana Tech’s leading passer posted a 15-10 TD-INT ratio in 2018.
Bradshaw found a way to provide Ehlinger some bulletin board material for a matchup where it wasn’t even needed. Perhaps he’ll invite Bradshaw to the game to show him exactly why the Longhorns signed him.
