Terrell Owens On Ezekiel Elliott: ‘Pay the man’

Ezekiel Elliott COVID-19

Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens had what we’d call a contentious relationship with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones during his three seasons in the Big D.

As we saw throughout his 15-year career, Owens is not afraid to open his mouth and cause some drama.

In talking about the Ezekiel Elliott situation with his former Cowboys team, Owens stayed true to that MO. TMZ Sports asked the record-breaking receiver what Jones should do. His response? “Pay the man.”

Owens actually restated that claim three times during the interview before coming to the conclusion that Dallas needs Elliott more than Elliott needs the Cowboys.

This entire situation has been drama-filled from the get. Jones continues to make the contract extension talks very public. Elliott remains away from the team heading into Week 1.

Recent reports suggested that the two sides were close on a new deal. That was replaced with another report indicating that Elliott and the Cowboys have not talked recently.

What we do know is that Dallas is still without the All-Pro running back that led the NFL in rush attempts, rushing yards and total touches last season. That’s a less-than-ideal scenario for the team.
