The legendary Serena Williams had an opportunity to notch her eighth Wimbledon win and third in four years in the finals against Germany’s Angelique Kerber Saturday at the All-England Club.

Unfortunately for America’s princess, it was not to be. Unforced error after unforced error led to her losing consecutive sets, 6-3, to fall short of the title.

Williams’ return to the court and near title comes shortly after she struggled through a complicated pregnancy. She’s 37 years old and still one of the top athletes in the world.

Obviously, Twitter had a lot to say about the performances of both Kerber and Williams on Saturday. Here’s the best.
