Tedy Bruschi has signed on as a senior adviser at the University of Arizona, where he starred as a college player almost three decades ago.

The 47-year-old Bruschi will join the program in support of first-year head coach Jedd Fisch, who most recently served as quarterbacks coach of the New England Patriots. Bruschi won three Super Bowl rings with the Patriots before he retired in 2009.

At Arizona, Bruschi played from 1992-95, twice being named as a consensus All-American.

“I am very excited to re-establish my connection to the Arizona Football program,” Bruschi said in a press release. “Coach Fisch, and his vision for the program, is the main reason for my new level of involvement. I look forward to assisting Coach Fisch and the program in any way I can as we develop the next generations of Wildcats who are purposeful, resilient and original.”
