Dallas Cowboys defensive end David Irving was suspended indefinitely by the NFL last week for violating its substance abuse policy.
It’s the second time in less than a calendar year that Mr. Irving has been suspended for testing positive for marijuana.
It was just earlier this week that Irving indicated through social media that he will not return to the NFL until the league changed its marijuana policy.
Well, he’s now taking that to a whole new level.

Yes, Irving is on Instagram smoking marijuana while confirming he’s quitting the NFL.
This is not a joke.

It’s certainly a good thing that Irving has decided to quit football. There’s no way the NFL would reinstate him after this display.
Regardless of your thoughts on the NFL’s marijuana policy, it’s still banned. Irving seems to care more about the plant than a career on the gridiron. That’s his prerogative.
