Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts gave an update on star pitcher Clayton Kershaw this Sunday that wasn’t really much of an update.
Roberts told reporters that Kershaw is “on track” in his recovery but that there still is no timetable for his return.
Kershaw “on track” according to Roberts. No timetable. Throwing a pen could be next.

However, there was a bit of positive news to report, as Alanna Rizzo of SportsNet LA noted Kershaw was throwing the ball “at about 60′ with good intensity” on Sunday.
Kershaw has been out of commission since the end of May when his back acted up during a start against the Philadelphia Phillies. That start happened to be Kershaw’s first after being activated off the 10-day DL for a biceps injury.
Needless to say, while the reports are positive right now, things aren’t exactly looking peachy for Kershaw and the Dodgers.
