In no way is it a surprise that some of the NBA’s top stars are taking an active approach when it comes to politics ahead of November’s Presidential Election.

Unless you have been hiding under a rock for the past four-plus years, you know very well that incumbent President Donald Trump (R) does not have a great relationship with the NBA and its players.

This will now be taken to a whole new level during the final night of the Democratic National Convention, an evening that will include former Vice President Joe Biden (D) officially accepting the democratic nomination for president.

Three-time NBA champion and two-time league MVP Stephen Curry will appear at the convention with his wife, Ayesha, and their children. Curry will officially endorse Biden and his running partner, California Senator Kamala Harris (D), for office.

Here’s a preview of the pre-taped video set to air remotely Thursday evening.

Curry has been active on the political scene for some time now. He’s also close with Kamala Harris, who made history as the first African-American woman on a major party ticket when she officially accepted the nomination on Wednesday.

Curry joins fellow three-time NBA champion Lebron James in endorsing the democratic ticket over the above-mentioned Trump and current Vice President Mike Pence.

As interesting as it might be, Curry’s endorsement will have little value moving forward. The NBA itself is the most progressive sports league in North America. Meanwhile, the state of California is expected to go heavily for the Biden-Harris ticket.

Although, there’s going to be no shutting up and dribbling this summer and into the fall. That’s for sure.
