St. Louis Blues leading scorer David Perron has been placed in the NHL COVID-19 protocol, putting his availability in jeopardy for Game 1 of the team’s first-round series against the Colorado Avalanche.

The Blues begin their series versus the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Avalanche on Monday in Denver.

Perron finished the regular season with a flourish, recording 16 of his club-best 58 points in the last 11 games. The 32-year-old collected six goals and 10 assists during that surge.

A Stanley Cup winner with St. Louis in 2018-19, Perron has 608 points (242 goals, 366 assists) in 906 career games with the Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Anaheim Ducks, Vegas Golden Knights and Blues.

Perron was selected by St. Louis with the 26th overall pick of the 2007 NHL Draft.
