Padres left-hander Blake Snell made his spring debut for his new team, striking out one and walking one during a 15-pitch inning. The 2018 American League Cy Young Award winner was acquired from the Tampa Bay Rays in the offseason.

“It’s definitely weird. I’m not gonna lie, but it’s a good weird,” Snell said of his new surroundings. “I like my teammates a lot. I got comfortable here a lot quicker than I thought I would. It’s just a really cool place to be.”
