Skip Holtz and Kirby Wilson will be coaching in the USFL this spring.

Holtz was named head coach of the Birmingham Stallions on Thursday while Wilson was named sideline boss for the Pittsburgh Maulers.

The pair join Bart Andrus, Todd Haley, Mike Riley and Kevin Sumlin, who were announced earlier this month. Only two teams are left without a head coach – New Orleans Breakers and Michigan Panthers.

Holtz, son of legendary Lou Holtz, amassed an 118-98 record in 17 collegiate FBS seasons as coach of East Carolina (2005-09), South Florida (2010-12) and Louisiana Tech (2013-21). He was fired by the Bulldogs in November ahead of the team’s season finale. He also coached at FCS UConn, going 34-23 in five seasons.

Wilson becomes a head coach for the first time. He has spent 24 years as a running backs coach in the NFL, most recently with the Las Vegas Raiders.

The first games will be played on April 16. Every game in the inaugural season will be played in one centralized location, to be announced. Games will be played both Saturday and Sunday, with special broadcasts on specific Fridays and Mondays.

Andrus (Philadelphia Stars), Haley (Tampa Bay Bandits), Riley (New Jersey Generals) and Sumlin (Houston Gamblers) were named on Jan. 6.
