After missing the past nine games with a finger injury, Philadelphia 76ers All-Star center Joel Embiid could be nearing a return to the court.

According to David Murphy of the Philadelphia Daily News, Embiid will see a hand specialist on Tuesday and could player later in the day against the Golden State Warriors.

Embiid suffered the injury in a win over the Oklahoma City Thunder back on Jan. 6. The hope all a long was that he’d be able to return some time this week.

Philadelphia posted a 6-3 record with Embiid out of action.

Just recently named a starter for the 2020 All-Star Game, the 25-year-old Embiid is averaging 23.4 points, 12.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists on 47% shooting from the field this season.
