Sepp Straka WDs from Valspar after positive COVID-19 test

Sepp Straka withdrew from the this week’s Valspar Championship on Tuesday after becoming the third player this week to test positive for COVID-19.

The PGA Tour announced that Straka will be replaced by first alternate Nelson Ledesma.

Will Gordon and Brice Garnett were forced to withdraw Monday after positive tests.

Straka played the last two Tour events, finishing T59 at the RBC Heritage and T29 at Zurich Classic team event. Straka played with Josh Teater.

The Austrian has earned $782,769 this season.

The first round of the Valspar is Thursday at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Fla.
