Seattle Seahawks star defensive end Jadeveon Clowney will not play Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. He’s been ruled out with a core muscle injury and a stomach illness.
Clowney had previously gutted through a couple of games while dealing with the core muscle injury. But the double-whammy of his sickness and the injury was just too much to overcome this Sunday against the Panthers.
With Clowney out of the lineup against Carolina, the Seahawks will have their work cut out to replace his consistent presence as a pass rusher and run defender. Clowney has tallied 30 tackles, three sacks, four forced fumbles, an interception and an incredible defensive touchdown this year for the Seahawks.
