The Rice departure means little in the grand scheme of things. He was a downright bust in Seattle and didn’t provide much for the defending Super Bowl champions in 2013. On the other hand, releasing Bryant could hurt if the Seahawks are unable to retain Michael Bennett. It’s presumed these moves were made with re-signing Bennett in mind.
