Seahawks’ Mychal Kendricks out with broken tibia

Seattle Seahawks linebacker Mychal Kendricks faces sentencing on insider trading charges here soon. That could force him from the NFL as he serves an undetermined amount of time in prison.

Unfortunately for Kendricks, he’s also now dealing with a broken tibia and will miss the remainder of the season. He suffered said injury in Monday night’s win over the Minnesota Vikings.

A second-round pick of the Eagles back in 2012, he was a full-time starter in six seasons with the team.

He helped Philadelphia to a Super Bowl title before moving on to the Cleveland Browns in free agency this past spring. But insider trader charges ended his career in Cleveland before he ultimately latched on with the Seahawks. Kendricks was suspended eight games after signing with Seattle.

It remains to be seen how long Kendricks will be out. But his prison sentence could outlast the tibia injury he suffered Monday night.
