Seahawks’ Jadeveon Clowney healthy heading into NFL Playoffs

Jadeveon Clowney, contract

In what could be monumental news heading into their NFC Wildcard playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend, the Seattle Seahawks are about to gain a major talent.

Seattle released its final injury report ahead of the game. Said report did not include injury-plagued star edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney.

Clowney has been dealing with a core muscle injury over the past several weeks. It has impacted his ability to make a difference and has cost the former No. 1 pick multiple games.

Dealing with a multitude of injuries since Seattle acquired him ahead of the regular season, Clowney recorded just 13 quarterback hits and three sacks on the season.

When he’s actually been healthy, the Pro Bowler has performed at an extremely high level.

Given that Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson is questionable heading into Sunday’s game, this could be huge news for the Seahawks as they look to advance to the divisional round against either San Francisco or Green Bay.
