Seahawks hit with flu bug ahead of pivotal ‘MNF’ game against Vikings

The Seattle Seahawks had to battle against a flu bug in the week leading up to their Monday night NFC showdown against the Minnesota Vikings.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Monday afternoon that “Roughly eight Seahawks were battling the flu the past week leading up to tonight’s game against Minnesota, including WRs Tyler Lockett and David Moore.”

He noted that none of these players were listed on the injury report and are expected to play.

Hopefully everyone is fully hydrated and healthy. You never want to see a big game like this one marred by sickness or injuries.

Monday night’s game could lead to a new No. 1 atop the NFC after the San Francisco 49ers lost at the last second to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Should the Seahawks win, they’d take the No. 1 seed with four games remaining in the season.
