The San Francisco Giants placed outfielder Mike Yastrzemski and right-hander Logan Webb on the 10-day injured list Thursday.

Yastrzemski has a right thumb sprain and his move is retroactive to Wednesday, while Webb has a right shoulder strain and his designation is retroactive to May 31.

The Giants called up infielder/outfielder Jason Vosler and right-hander Nick Tropeano from Triple-A Sacramento in corresponding transactions.

Yastrzemski, 30, hurt his thumb crashing into the right field wall at Oracle Park in the fourth inning of Tuesday’s 8-1 loss to the Los Angeles Angels.

He is batting .222 with six homers and 15 RBIs in 45 games this season.

Webb, 24, is 4-3 with a 3.86 ERA in 10 games (nine starts) this season, racking up 54 strikeouts and 17 walks in 49 innings.

Tropeano, 30, is 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA in four bullpen appearances with the Giants this season.

Vosler, 27, made his major league debut on April 24 and is hitting .136 with one homer and two RBIs in 11 games.
