The San Francisco Giants claimed outfielder Braden Bishop off waivers from the Seattle Mariners on Monday.
The Mariners designated the 27-year-old for assignment on May 13.
Bishop batted .250 (1-for-4) in eight games with Seattle in 2021.
He appeared in 47 games over the last three seasons with the Mariners, batting .133 with no homers and eight RBIs.
Seattle drafted Bishop in the third round in 2015 out of the University of Washington. He owns a .290 lifetime average in the minors with 24 homers, 177 RBIs and 51 stolen bases in 417 games.
