San Francisco Giants acquire Thairo Estrada from New York Yankees

The San Francisco Giants acquired infielder Thairo Estrada from the New York Yankees on Sunday in exchange for cash considerations.

Estrada, 25, was optioned to the Giants’ alternate training site in Sacramento.

The Yankees designated him for assignment earlier this week.

In 61 games over the past two seasons with New York, Estrada hit .214 with four home runs, 15 RBIs and five stolen bases.
