The Kansas City Chiefs are hoping that receiver Sammy Watkins can stay healthy and become a productive member of their offense in 2018. He better be, given the absurd amount of money the Chiefs paid him in free agency.
On Monday, however, he had to leave practice early with a hip injury.

Ian Rapoport did note that this injury isn’t considered to be major. That being said, given Watkins’ history of dealing with nagging injuries we have to imagine there’s a bit of anxiety over this within Kansas City’s front office.
Last season with the Los Angeles Rams, Watkins caught 39 passes for 593 yards and eight touchdowns.
