The Sacramento Kings are signing center Damian Jones to a contract for the remainder of this season and the 2021-22 campaign, according to multiple reports.

A league source confirmed to NBC Sports California that the team will waive big man Chris Silva in a corresponding move.

Jones is coming off consecutive 10-day contracts with the Kings, during which time he’s averaged 3.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 15.5 minutes per game.

A 2016 first-round pick of the Golden State Warriors (30th overall), Jones was traded after his third season to the Atlanta Hawks for Omari Spellman.

The 6-foot-11, 245-pound Jones played in 49 games (22 starts) in three seasons with the Warriors. With Atlanta, he started 27 of his 55 games and scored 5.6 points per contest. He was not re-signed for this season.

Jones, 25, played for Phoenix this season before being waived in February, and with the Los Angeles Lakers on a couple of 10-day contracts before landing in Sacramento.
