The scheduled Friday night game between the Colorado Rockies and Pittsburgh Pirates was postponed because of inclement weather.

The game was rescheduled at PNC Park for Saturday as part of a split doubleheader, with the first game to start at 12:05 p.m. ET and Game 2 tabbed for 4:05 p.m..

It will mark the Rockies’ fifth twin bill of the season already. That includes their previous action on Thursday, a rescheduled doubleheader sweep suffered at the hands of the New York Mets after Colorado split their first three in 2021.

The Pirates have only played one doubleheader thus far this season, a road split against the Detroit Tigers.

Rockies right-handerJon Gray, the Rockies’ original Friday starter, appears slated to start Game 1 on Saturday, per MLB.com. He is expected to face right-hander JT Brubaker. In the second game, MLB.com lists Colorado left-hander Austin Gomber scheduled to oppose Pirates righty Mitch Keller, Pittsburgh’s scheduled Friday starter before the postponement.
