Former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski had an announcement for his fans this past Tuesday. It’s not what some expected or had hoped for.

Rather than returning to the Patriots, Gronkowksi’s announcement included him planning a huge Super Bowl party in South Beach.

The future Hall of Famer has now confirmed that he won’t return to the Patriots this season.

There’s been a ton of speculation that Gronkowski might end his brief retirement and attempt to help New England repeat as champions. That’s now no longer a possibility.

To say that Tom Brady misses his favorite target would be an understatement. New England tight ends have combined for 23 receptions in 10 games this season.
